This wasnt planned…

So I had this sudden urge to buy a new planner/schedule book. Today was a gloomy rainy day to which I was blessed to not be busy, so naaaaturally I wandered into sekaido art store with the sole purpose of organizing my life.

I ended up buying a gloriously ugly little planner book w a banana pocket on the front for my pen. This planner screamed “fuck you corporate japan/America, I refuse to grow up!” it was perfect.

I purchased it enthusiastically imaging myself whipping it out during corporate lessons and thumbing through the blindingly colorful pages… Class act.

But that’s not the best part! When I opened it to input put next weeks schedule I was absolutely BEWILDERED to discover that the very first day of the scheduler WAS TODAY (9/27) ! What are the fucking odds?!
Of all days, why would the planner that I chose happen to start on the same day I bought it……creepy? Yes. It’s destiny.

Kangaroo leather

Today I spent the day rummaging through rolls and rolls of kangaroo leather picking out the brightest, strongest, and of course sexiest peices to make into iPhone cases for my next design project!!!! My mind is racing with so many ideas for this! I was lucky enough to get this leather from a friend who believes in me. The launch party will be in early October, I hope. So stay tuned. All those who have my official iPhone app will get a discount, and I will be giving some away for free ant my launch event. Yipppie skipppie!!!!

Azabu Juban Matsuri

Last weekend I went to one of tokyos best street festivals. Azabu juban matsuri is has the best foods and sexiest people. It was a crowded mess but I got a free tequila shot and even found waldo! I’ve been looking for that sob for like 13 years. He ran off but I managed to snap a pic. Here are some pics from the fest!!!! Viva azabu!

Victory is MINE!!!!

Last Sunday I FINALLY graduated from Temple University in Japan. I always thought I’d cry on this day thinking about the long painful expensive journey full of sacrifices and seemingly impossible obstacles, but actually i didnt cry at all. that day proved a point bigger than a degree. It really proved to me that anything and everything will ne overcome with time and perseverence. Every semester of working multiple jobs and starving myself for books and debating on giving up to spare my sanity has passed like kidney stones, and came out fine. Maybe a little bitter but definately stronger and more determined than ever.

My fortress

I think the people in a persons life is the greatest most marvelous work of art of all. With that said I’d like to make a note about the people I surround myself with that without a doubt inspire
me and drive me to new creative perspectives.

Layla: my roomie. She’s tough, open-minded, hardworking, sweet, and total sloppy drunk. She inspires me because she seemingly fears nothing and never hesitates to strike when the iron is hot. She’s a superficial socialite that’s not ashamed of anything. I love that. She’s easy going but will stomp on people that try to cheat her friends. Her motto.. “whaaaat the fuuuuck?”

Kalin: she’s my gangstaaaaa homie. She’s a rare ride or die bitch and though she’s stunning like a porceline doll there is nothing delicate about her. She is impenatrable. She chides her friends carefully and I treasure that about her.

Alicia: she’s an angel and a bitch at the same time. She teaches me how to life light heartedly and never let’s a guy take advantage to any of her drunk friends. She’s fearless and beautiful.

Tomoe: is the undercover freak of the group. Shy, yes, but this girl definately knows how to party and speak English!

Cirque Du Freaq

I had to do an extra painting of anything for my class so I made this one of a piello clown. why? because I’ve decided my next fashion show will have the theme circus!!!! it’s gonna be a hot show!

New painting

for my painting class I had to do a remake of a master painting. I chose one by michaelangelo and his Sistine chapel. I broke my record and made this painting in 44minutes.

Sea creatures from my nightmares

last weekend I checked out a local aquarium that had some of the most disturbing sea creatures I’ve ever seen.

phobia #103 sharkish things with chainsaws for faces! WTF intelligent design!?!? what is this about????

crabs! are gigantic jaganaut spiders of the ocean. as if daddy long legs weren’t horrifying enough.

and fish that look u dead in the face make me uneasy.

evil pick pocketing penguins… yup they had those too.

and my personal fave, the inbreeded frog fish with legs that knows it’s natures reject and dwells in the darkness in solitude.

I love the aquarium, and then seafood buffets after!!!!

Nail art

I really can’t pass up an opportunity to get my nails done by Japanese nail artist FOR FREE. Japanese nail artist take their job very seriously. they took too long. the Vietnamese nail painters are faster. but the Japanese are more crafty and creative… and expensive!

check out the nails on the gals who were workin.

work it bitch!

This is LOVE

I went to an opening of a Japanese clothing line called Punk Drunkers at a shop/gallery called D-Structure. I got to watch my favorite artist and friend Dee Jae do some live painting and also see my friends the Academy of Villians perform some cool break dancing freestyles. there was also a fashion show and FREE BEER. it’s like everything I love under one roof!!!!
